GET IN TOUCH
  • What businesses do you service?

Our debt recovery service is available to all types of businesses, as well as individuals requiring this service.

We work with various types of businesses, particularly those requiring debt collection or those requiring the delivery of important legal documents. We deal with solicitors and businesses throughout Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Sydney and other areas throughout NSW. We also act on behalf of interstate clients.

  • What makes Newcomen Commercial Services unique?

We are one of the most experienced debt recovery agencies around, with more than 50 years of industry experience. We’ve also been providing process serving for more than 30 years. Due to our vast experience, professionalism and successful track record, our clients continue to entrust us to help with their business. We endeavour to provide exceptional customer service for each and every client.

  • How does the payment process work?

For debt recovery, you only pay us after we complete the debt recovery process. In other words, if the debtor does not pay you, then you do not pay us. Court costs are considered an 'out of pocket' expense, as such they are passed onto you if we being Local Court action. The Court costs are fully recoverable from the debtor, and are then refunded to you.

  • Is the process kept confidential?

Yes. We conduct our collection and delivery methods in a confidential and professional manner. We understand that many clients want repeat business from current debtors and we do all we can to avoid controversy throughout the process.

  • How can Newcomen Commercial Services help my business?

We do all we can, using our many years of professional experience and success, to get you the money you are owed, thus increasing your business revenue and profit. We also take the time and cost of collecting debts and delivering legal documents off your hands, allowing you to focus on other important business matters.

  • What are the benefits of using a process server?

Process servers are responsible for ensuring legal documents are delivered as per statutory requirements. We provide an Affidavit of Service which confirms to the Court the person being served has been served in the correct manner.

  • Do you only offer process serving in Newcastle?

No. We offer process serving throughout Australia, working with an extensive network of licensed agents. Our service is comprehensive, from the delivery of the legal document to preparation of the Affidavit of Service. We take care of everything.

  • What if someone avoids a process server?

Avoiding service is not looked upon favourably by the Court system. Particulary in the case of Family Court matters. In our experience the Court may either make orders in the absence of the avoiding party.

  • What happens if someone refuses to pay a debt after a demand letter?

If your debt still hasn’t been paid after a demand or Solicitors’ letter, we can proceed to the legal stage, at which tim you will receive a 'summons authority' to confirm you require us to proceed to this stage. The legal process gives us more leverage to enforce the payment of the debt. Court costs payable by the creditor are involved at this stage.
